The City of Orlando is currently reviewing an opportunity to create a meter advertisng program. The program would require the City to install plates on meters that would allow us to sell advertisment or place public services messages on them.
What we are researching is any policy language or ordinance language that has already been adopted. The City would not want to be required to allow any and all organizations that want to advertise, such as adult clubs, or liquor companies, to utilize the meter rental program. To this end, I am requesting any information or policy language that your entity has used to be forwarded to my office.
