AutoFind Description:
The AutoFind system is a mobile solution that integrates License
Plate Recognition (LPR) and Global Positioning (GPS) technologies to provide
a complete and accurate parking enforcement solution.
AutoFind automates current enforcement processes (tire-chalking,
booting) by quickly capturing license plate data of parked cars and automatically
identifying parking by-law infractions.
As the AutoFind-equipped vehicle drives along a street, it reads and digitally
stores license plate information and vehicle location. When the AutoFind
unit returns to the same location at a later time, the operator is alerted
when the system identifies a vehicle that has been parked for longer than
the maximum allotted time.
AutoFind’s second application matches vehicle plate reads against
a ‘hot-list’ database comprised of scofflaws, stolen vehicles, etc. Again,
when a match is found, the system will alert the driver that a ‘wanted’
vehicle has been detected.
