Duncan and Hectronic Partnership Hectronic GmbH of Bonndorf, Germany entered into an agreement to provide state-of-the-art pay and display parking In May 2003 Duncan Parking Technologies, Inc. of Harrison, Arkansas and technology to North America. Duncan, which originated in 1936, established a dominance in the North American market with its mechanical parking meters and introduced the first electronic meter in 1987. The Eagle 2000 electronic meter, which is available with a card reader and a patented cash key port, is the latest in meter technology. Through it's extensive sales and distribution networks, Duncan has the highest installed base of parking meters in the world and has established relationships with most cities and towns in North America. Hectronic first entered the parking industry in the 1950's in Europe and began producing pay and display machines in 1988. Hectronic has nearly 20,000 pay and display machines operating mostly in Europe, South America and Australia. The parking industry has evolved into the world of electronics in the past 10 years, and Duncan and Hectronic have a wealth of knowledge in this arena. The Phoenix Pay and Display machine represents the latest in collection and communication technology, and it is designed to be highly reliable in harsh operating environments.
